2010 Resolutions
Do you make resolutions 2010?
Do your kids make resolutions?
The start of the new year is a great way to get motivated! Before I started to create my 2010 resolutions, I decided to think back to 2009. Did I follow through on my goals?
So here they are…. my 2009 and 2010 resolutions. I figure if I write them in my blog and send them out for others to read, I have that added pressure to do what I say I am going to do.
2009 Resolutions:
1. Live life. Be more adventurous. check
2. Exercise more. work in progress
3. Do more things that I want to do, instead of what others want me to do. check
After looking at my resolutions, I am rather proud of myself. Of course there is always room for improvement. Exercise is never my top priority nor will it be.
2010 Resolutions:
1. Continue my blog. There are many days I want to quit when I see only a handful of readers. However I keep telling myself it is about the quality not quantity that makes a difference.
2. Exercise more.
3. Find an agent/publisher for my children’s book.
4. Spend more quality time with family and friends.
5. Volunteer at school more.
What are your resolutions for 2010?
Idea of the Day:
Have your children make one or two new year’s resolutions.
Once you have made your own resolutions, sit down with your children and discuss what they want to do in the new year. Remember, children learn by example. If they see you working on your goals, they are more likely to follow through on theirs.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has created a list of ideas to help kids choose healthy and attainable resolutions for themselves:
